Pleated Skirts....

I am so far behind in my posts that I think I have enough cards to post for the next couple of months without adding any extras I've created in between posts.  Where does the time go????

Our card today is one we created sometime ago in Crafty Creations.  As most of the ladies have either a Big Shot or Cuttlebug, once a month, we concentrate on these products.  It is usually a great way for them to learn how to use their tools.  Included in this class we also concentrated on the Technique - Chalks or Pastels, including learning how to create a pleated skirt from paper.

I let the ladies know what we will be creating each week & what to bring along if they want.  This way, they are using the "stuff" they may have & familiarising themselves with their own "stuff".  I took along a number of different Embossing Folders for the ladies who don't have a machine or Folders.

I think this is another card I saw on Pinterest, but am not that sure.  Please let me know if you recognise it, as I would love to give you credit for the inspiration.

MDS....

Inside Card...
Yahooooooo, I have finally managed to use MDS for a card - little though it is, I did it!!!!!!!

I have played with it over the weeks since purchasing it & I must say I LOVE it.  I don't know if I will use it that much but hey it is a start & who knows what I will create in the future.  For the moment I am quiet happy with myself with what I created.

I've been creating Baby Cards for The Handmade Expo the last couple of weeks as this is one sort of card I seem to sell a lot of.  I don't know what it is about them that seems so popular but the public love them.  Maybe it is the clean look as I like to keep my Baby Cards mainly White with just a little bit of colour.

I cannot take the credit for my card today as I found it on Google, so please if you recognise it, let me know as I would love to give you the credit for your beautiful card.  I did change the colours a little.

Not only did I manage to use MDS but also the stamp set "Pennant Parade" which has been sitting on my shelf gathering dust.  I also used my new EF - Houndstooth.  I wasn't too sure if I would like this folder, but I have to say "YES".................. AND can see myself using it on lots of things.

SC 081/13...

Our challenge over at Sunny Challenges & Creations is to use something from the Seasonal Catalogue before it retires - 30 June - & create a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item.  The list is endless.

I had so much going around in my head about what to do, so instead of going to create something new, I decided to pull out my "Another Day" Box - that is what Gwen calls it!!!!!!  Don't you love that name?  I think it is a perfect name for that box that we all have sitting somewhere in our Craft Rooms.  Mine just happens to sit on my desk.  I often find myself going through it & finding "stuff" that I had completely forgotten I had started & didn't finish.  My card is one of those!!!!!!

When the Catalogue first come out I was just so excited to find a sea set sitting there waiting just for me to get my hands on.  Anything to do with the beach & I am "gone".  "By the Tide" was the first set I purchased.  In fact it was a purchase by itself & started playing as soon as it arrived, but then obviously didn't finish it.  All I had to do was basically add the Base Card & that was it!  How easy was that?  Everything had already been done.

We would love for you to join us this week.  All you have to do is head on over to Sunny Challenges & Creations, check out what Kris & Alison have created.  Create your card, scrapbook page or 3-D item, post to your blog or on line group/forum & then head back & link with Mr Linky.

Until next time, Happy Stampin'

By the Tide 2....

Today's card is our 2nd card we created using the stamp set "By the Tide" from the current Seasonal Catalogue.  Not only did we use this stamp set, but we used the Technique "Ghosting/VersaMark Resist" & the Ovals Collections.

In my classes I like to showcase different cards using the same stamp sets & supplies, eg Cardstock, Inks, etc.  I am a firm believer that you do not have to have a lot of cards to achieve great results.

When I first saw the Ovals Collections in the Seasonal Catalogue an idea sprung into my head.  Then when I flipped over to see this great stamp set "By the Tide", I got more excited, as I could combine the 2.......

Scrapbooking....

Today's post is from my Scrapbook Classes last month.

I have lots of photos from when I worked in Dilli, Timor Leste a couple of years ago.  Not only did I love my work, but I met some great people - local, defence, federal police, non-profit organisations & ex-pats, have a lot of great memories - funny & serious, saw many things - some I want to remember, while others I don't!!!!

The people in Timor Leste are wonderful, very happy & very laid back - my kinda lifestyle, which is probably why I fitted in so well.  It may also have had something to do with the fact that at the beginning I was one of very few ex-pat females in the country, blonde hair & freckles, so everyone got to know me.

As soon as I saw the DSP from the Seasonal Catalogue, I knew immediately that the papers would suit Timor.  It also has the colours of our uniform.

I actually changed my ribbon since the photo was taken. "Circle Circus" stamp set goes great with this paper.  The journaling was created in MDS (My Digital Studio), with Chocolate Chip & Cherry Cobbler Inks & printed onto Very Vanilla Cardstock.

CD Cases....

As promised, today's post is another CD Case for the Expo.  Much to my delight & surprise the CD Cases sold within about 15m of each other.  I now have to stock up on more of these.  I don't create a lot of them at once as I like to do them to suit the customers personality & colours she likes.

CD Cases....

Over the next couple of days, I thought I would share with you a couple of CD Cases I created for The Handmade Expo which I attend the first Sunday of each month.  The best thing about this Expo is, it is held inside which means the weather has no influence in whether it is on or not.  Don't you just love that!  The organisers do a great job with the Expo & stalls come from all over the South Queensland to attend.  It is slowly growing in numbers no only with the stalls, but with the public as well.

The Case today is created using all retired products, but could easily be recreated with current products.

SC 080/13...

It was my turn to set the challenge over at Sunny Challenges & Creations this week.  I've been very easy in that there is no 2nd part to the challenge, only the sketch.

I wanted to do a simple little card as I seemed to have gone to all white cards of late.  Funny how we go through stages, but to be honest this is my style & the one I love creating.  I also need to stock up on my "Get Well" Cards as I sold a lot of them at the Handmade Expo last month.

I've also used one of my new stamp sets I purchased in the last month - Summer Silhouettes.  It has taken me a long time to obtain this set AND I love it.  The set makes for simple easy 5 minute cards while creating something with a bit of a "WOW".

Sending Sympathy....

I needed a Sympathy Card to post out this week, so I dug up one of the rare cards that I saved.  I've cased (copied & shared everything) from Sarah Willis  I'm not even sure where I come across it or when I come across it.  It is quiet an old card as it uses a stamp set from last year's SAB.

Thanks so much Sarah for the inspiration!

The Framed Tulips EF is not one that I have used a lot, so thought it gave me the perfect opportunity to dig it out of the box & dust it down.  I quite like the result of the EF but believe me it was hard not to use my favourite Perfect Polka Dots.  In saying that, if you look closely, I managed to get it on here anyhow.
